Two men who broke into a house about 11 p.m. Monday on Little Indian Creek Road decided to have a snack during the burglary.
The 39-year-old homeowner returned home to find a man standing on his porch "at an open window," sheriff's Deputy Michael Jones said in a report.
The homeowner got out of his car and approached the house. He heard a man's voice inside, the report said.
The man at the window "took off running," and the man inside the house exited from a side door and ran off, the report said.
The homeowner told deputies the men "apparently ate a sandwich while in the house," the report said.
The victim described one man as about 6 feet tall and the other as about 5 feet 7 inches tall.
Missing from the house were a "boombox" radio, 20 DVDs, a 24-pack of Mountain Dew soda and a weed trimmer.
The value of the stolen goods is about $155.
