Mohawk Christmas Parade Starts At 2 P.M. On Sunday

The Mohawk Christmas Parade is scheduled to be held Sunday, Dec. 12, starting at 2 p.m. The parade is sponsored by the Mohawk Ruritan Club.

There is no theme, and no entry fee, organizers said.

The parade route is the same as past years. Participants will line up on Porter Kite Road, turn left onto Phillipi Road, and end near the Mohawk Post Office.

All churches, organizations and schools are encouraged to participate. "Tractors, cars, go-carts and horses are always welcome," according to the news release, and "There is room for everyone."

The top three floats will be awarded cash prizes. Anyone participating needs to be in line and ready to go no later than 1:30 p.m., when floats will be judged.

For information, call Carolyn at 422-4431 or Sandy at 235-3429.
