Most local offices will be closed for the Fourth of July holiday on Thursday.
Mosheim Town Hall, Baileyton Town Hall, Tusculum Town Hall, and Greeneville Town Hall will all be closed.
Residential garbage normally collected by the Town of Greeneville Public Works Department on Thursday will be collected on Wednesday this week.
Garbage collection for businesses will be conducted on a regular schedule Thursday.
In Tusculum, garbage normally collected on Thursday will be picked up on Friday instead. Containers should be curbside by 7:30 a.m.
The Greene County Courthouse and the Courthouse Annex will be closed on Thursday.
Greene County convenience centers will also be closed for the July Fourth holiday.
The Courthouse Annex will reopen on Friday; however, the Greene County Clerk's office will remain closed Friday and Saturday for maintenance, and installation of new flooring.
The Greene County Health Department and the Greene County office of the Tennessee Department of Human Services will be closed.
The Greeneville-Greene County Public Library and the T. Elmer Cox Genealogical Library will be closed Thursday.
The Boys & Girls Club of Greeneville & Greene County will be closed Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday.
The YMCA, the Greene County Partnership, and the Greeneville-Greene County Community Ministries Food Bank will be closed on Thursday.
Offices for the Greeneville Light & Power System and the Greeneville Water Department will be closed for the Fourth of July.
The James H. Quillen United States Courthouse, the Social Security office, and branches of the United States Postal Service will also be closed. There will be no mail delivery.
The Greeneville Sun offices will be closed Thursday with the exception of the Circulation Department, which will be open until 11 a.m.
The July 4 edition of the newspaper will be distributed Thursday morning.
