A 42-year-old motorcyclist died in a crash about 4 p.m. Monday on Mount Hebron Road, Tennessee Highway Patrol Trooper Russell Holtsclaw said in a report.
James M. Kirkpatrick, of Jim Fox Road, was southbound on Mount Hebron Road on the Harley-Davidson motorcycle when 85-year-old Mary B. Hankal pulled her car into the road to make a left-hand turn, the report said.
The motorcycle struck Hankal's 2002 Ford in the driver's side door.
Kirkpatrick was killed in the collision, the report said.
A passenger on the motorcycle, 24-year-old Holly L. Ricker, of Granite Lane, suffered injuries and was flown by Wings Air Rescue to Johnson City Medical Center.
Hankal was also transported to Johnson City Medical Center.
The conditions of Ricker and Hankal were not available this morning.
Both Kirkpatrick and Ricker were wearing helmets, the report said.
Hankal was cited for failure to yield.
The Greeneville Emergency and Rescue Squad and Greene County-Greeneville Emergency Medical Service were at the wreck scene.
An investigation into the crash continues.
