The driver of a motorcycle that collided with an SUV at approximately 10 p.m. Saturday at the intersection of Asheville Highway and East Vann Road was in stable condition this morning at the Johnson City Medical Center.
Greeneville Police Department Patrolman Josh Pierce said in his report that Allen R. Conner, 44, of 7373 Asheville Hwy., and passenger Melissa Conner, 33, of the same address, both suffered incapacitating injuries and were transferred by Greene County-Greeneville Emergency Medical Services (EMS) to Takoma Regional Hospital.
Takoma Representative Tina Chudina said Melissa Conner was treated and released, while Allen Conner was transferred on Sunday to Johnson City Medical Center.
Pierce indicated in his report that Conner failed to obey traffic controls by running the red light at the intersection as he traveled south on the Asheville Highway (Tenn. Rt. 70).
Not injured during the accident was 51-year-old Judy Steele Fox, of 90 Mt. Hebron Road, who was driving a Kia Sportage east on Van Hill Road.
Conner's motorcycle struck Fox's SUV in the front left side as she traveled through the intersection, according to the report.
