A new traffic light will soon serve drivers traveling U.S. 11E, an/or using the U.S. 11E/North Main Street/Tenn. Rt. 93 intersection, according to Brad Peters, Greeneville Public Works Department director and town engineer. The Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT) identified the site as a safety concern and is in charge of completing the project, Peters said. Once complete, the Town of Greeneville will be in charge of maintenance. Work has begun at the site (above), but it will be several weeks before the installation of the traffic light is complete, Peters said.
