The TV commercial for Buick starring Peyton Manning and shot here last month aired for the first time Wednesday night during the ESPY awards on ESPN.
The commercial aired about mid-way through the program, just after Manning presented the Arthur Ashe Courage Award to Pat Summitt, former head coach of the Lady Vols.
A press release from the Town of Greeneville announced the debut of the national-level advertisement in which several town departments worked with the 76-member TV crew to ensure a successful shoot.
Scenes included the 11E Bypass and the Rogersville Road.
"The safety of the public and the filming crew was paramount to the video production," stated Police Chief Terry Cannon.
The commercial consisted of complex traffic scenes under construction conditions, but resulted in minimal impact to the general public, a news release said.
