Johnson City police are searchng for Cory L. "Hank" Murray, of Fall Branch.
"Early Thursday, officers of the Johnson City Police Department attempted to stop a vehicle on North Roan Street, but the driver refused to stop," according to Johnson City police.
"The vehicle was later located and a passenger in the vehicle, Rebekah L. Seymore, 24, of 3860 Eastline Road, Kingsport, was transported to the police department," a police report said.
"Seymore provided a written statement advising that she had been taken against her will by an unknown male from the parking lot of the Electric Cowboy.
"Investigation revealed that the male suspect was known to Seymore and she was not taken against her will," police said in a release.
Seymore was charged with filing a false report and transported to the Washington County Detention Center and placed under a $5,000 bond.
Her arraignment is scheduled for Washington County Sessions Court on May 5, at 1:30 p.m.
The driver of the vehicle was identified as Cory L. "Hank" Murray, 29, of 384 Butchertown Rd., Fall Branch, police said.
An arrest warrant was issued for Murray charging him with numerous offenses including, evading arrest, reckless endangerment, driving on a revoked license, and possession of stolen property.
