This Christmas angel tree on the lawn of the Dickson-Williams Mansion, shown at right, has for many years been a familiar Christmas sight in downtown Greeneville. Atop the tree is the figure of an angel blowing a trumpet as if to announce the good news of the birth of Jesus, as described in the second chapter of the New Testament Book of Luke. The towering evergreen tree, which can be seen from many areas of the community, has approximately 3,000 circling lights in addition to those that illuminate the figure of the angel.
