Public Invited To Local School, College Band, Chorus Concerts

The public is being invited to come and hear the talents of local young musicians this Christmas season at several middle, high school and college band and choral concerts.

CHUCKEY-DOAK CHORUS

The Chuckey-Doak High School Vocal Music Department will present its annual Christmas Concert on Monday, Dec. 3, beginning at 7:30 p.m., in the high school auditorium.

The concert will also feature the Chucke-Doak Middle School Chorus. Admission is $5 for adults and free to students. The public is invited to attend.

TUSCULUM COLLEGE BAND

The Tusculum College band program will help to usher in the Christmas season with its annual holiday concert on Tuesday, Dec. 4, beginning at 7 p.m., at the Annie Hogan Byrd Auditorium.

The concert will feature performances by the Tusculum College concert and jazz bands as well as the TC handbell choir.

The concert is free and open to the public.

GMS CHORUS

The Greeneville Middle School Chorus will present its Christmas Concert on Tuesday, Dec. 4, beginning at 7 p.m., at the Niswonger Performing Arts Center.

The concert is free and open to the public.

CHUCKEY-DOAK BAND

On Thursday, Dec. 6, the Chuckey-Doak middle and high school bands will present a joint holiday concert, beginning at 7 p.m., at the high school auditorium.

The concert is free and open to the public.

GHS CHORUS

The Greeneville High School Chorus will present its Christmas Concert on Thursday, Dec. 6, beginning at 7:30 p.m., at the Niswonger Performing Arts Center.

The concert is free and open to the public.

SOUTH GREENE BAND

The South Greene Band will present its annual Christmas Concert on Sunday, Dec. 9, beginning at 3 p.m., at Greeneville First Church of God, at 1505 West Main St.

The seasonal music concert will feature performances by the South Greene High School Concert Band as well as by the beginning and intermediate band students from Nolachuckey, Camp Creek and DeBusk elementary schools.

The concert is free and open to the public.

GREENEVILLE HIGH BAND

Also, on Sunday, Dec. 9, beginning at 3 p.m., the Greeneville High School Band will present its annual holiday concert at the Niswonger Performing Arts Center.

This concert is also free and open to the public.

WEST GREENE BAND/CHOIR

The West Greene High School Choir and Band will hold a joint concert on Monday, Dec. 10, beginning at 7 p.m., at the high school gymnasium.

The concert is free and open to the public.

TC COMMUNITY CHORUS

The Tusculum College Community Chorus, along with the Pro Musica Chamber Orchestra, under the direction of Dr. David Hendricksen, will be present their annual Christmas Concert at Annie Hogan Byrd Auditorium on Monday, Dec. 10 at 7:30 pm.

The concert is free and open to the public.

WEST SIDE MIDDLE

The West Side Middle School Band, which consists of band students from Mosheim Middle, Glenwood and McDonald schools, will present their holiday concert on Tuesday, Dec. 11, beginning at 7 p.m., at the West Greene High School gymnasium.

The concert is free and open to the public.

GMS BAND

The Greeneville Middle School Band will present its Christmas Concert on Tuesday, Dec. 11, beginning at 7 p.m., at the Niswonger Performing Arts Center.

The concert is free and open to the public.

NORTH GREENE BAND

The North Greene Band will host its annual holiday band concert on Friday, Dec. 14, beginning at 7 p.m., in the gymnasium at North Greene High School.

The event will feature performances from both the North Greene High School band students as well as the 7th and 8th grade advanced band students from Baileyton, Ottway and West Pines elementary schools.
