The REO Speedwagon concert scheduled at Niswonger Performing Arts Center on Saturday night (Dec. 7) will be rescheduled, “due to extremely inclement weather conditions in Southeast Missouri,” according to a Friday news release from NPAC’s Tom Bullard, executive director.

Bullard explained, “The tour manager for REO and I have been discussing the deteriorating weather conditions in Cape Girardeau, Mo., since late last night (Thursday).

“In a conference call with band management and other parties, we have determined that it is unsafe for the entourage of buses and tractor trailers to arrive in Greeneville in time to prepare for the concert.”

The rock band's website said the show would be rescheduled for June 8 at NPAC.

"Your purchased tickets will be honored on that date," said a post on the band's website.

"We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused, but safety is our number one priority!"
