Greeneville's Downtown Revitalization Action Group will hold a public meeting on Monday, Dec. 17, to develop strategies related to the town's "20/20 Vision."
The meeting will be held at 4 p.m. in the board room at Town Hall.
Andy Daniels is facilitator of the Downtown Revitalization Action Group.
Members of the Action Group are volunteers who signed up for Downtown Revitalization at the Nov. 7 workshop of the Board of Mayor and Aldermen at the General Morgan Inn.
Anyone else who wants to serve as a member of the Action Group can still sign up at the Dec. 17 meeting.
Downtown Revitalization is one of five strategies of Greeneville's 20/20 Vision. The goals of this strategy are to:
* Enhance retail, residential, and entrepreneurial opportunities downtown;
* Support the Walters State expansion project downtown;
* Identify events that bring customers downtown on a periodic basis; and
* Develop long-range land-use plans maximizing the business, residential, and educational potential downtown.
