Twelve companies, organizations and staffing services have signed up to take part in the Greene County Partnership's Career Fair on Tuesday, Nov. 5, at the Comfort Inn, 1790 E. Andrew Johnson Hwy.

The hours of the event are from 1 to 5 p.m.

Companies or organizations participating in the Career Fair include Angus-Palm, C&C Millwright Maintenance, The Donaldson Company, DTR Tennessee, Greene Technology Center, Huf North America, Northeast Tennessee Career Center, Packaging Services Inc., Spherion, Staff Pro, Staffmark and the Tennessee Army National Guard.

Positions to be filled include assembly operators, fabricators, construction welders, carpenters, pipefitters, electricians, millwrights, production workers, forklift operators, stock and warehouse workers, machine operators, clerical and sales workers.

"It's evident from the responses we have received that there are numerous jobs available, from entry level to more skilled positions," said Tom Ferguson, president and CEO of the Greene County Partnership.

"Many of these employers are willing to train their new hires, so this is a tremendous opportunity for those individuals seeking employment," Ferguson said.

The career fair is open to the general public, and the Partnership encourages all unemployed individuals with good basic work ethics to participate.

Those seeking jobs are reminded to take several copies of their resumes, as well as certifications or licenses if applying for skilled positions.

For more information regarding the career fair or to sign up to participate, contact Lori Collins at the Greene County Partnership, 638-4111, or email (
