OTHER ROAD CONDITIONS

Whitehouse Road was covered with two inches of water at the 5900 block this morning. Weems considered it still passable as of 7:15 a.m.

The Greene County Sheriff's Department reported more than 60 roads closed this morning due to flooding.

A few drivers disregarded barricades on roads and drove around them, deputies said.

That practice can be life-threatening and is strongly discouraged, deputies said.

Greeneville police reported water on many roads this morning, but no road closures within town limits.

"We've been doing pretty well," Lt. Steve Hixson said.
