The Greeneville Police Department said two local residents were charged with DUI, and one person was arrested for public intoxication on Christmas Day following an incident on North Rufe Taylor Road.

Adriana Zamora Lopez, 70 Ocean Blvd., was charged with DUI first offense after she crashed her vehicle on North Rufe Taylor Road, Officer Roy Milton said in a report.

"Lopez, who was found to have no drivers license, was unsteady on her feet, she could not perform standardized field sobriety test, she smelled like alcohol, her eyes were red and her speech was slurred," Milton said.

Lopez, 28, refused a breathalyzer test, the report said.

Juan Montero Solano, 2314 Buckingham Road, was arrested after he drove to the scene of an accident on North Rufe Taylor Road, officer Eddie Key said in a report.

"The defendant had the smell of alcohol about his person and stated that he had drank at a Christmas party," Key said.

Solano, 32, performed poorly on a field sobriety test and was taken to the Greene County Detention Center, Key said.

He is held on $2,000 bond and is scheduled to be in General Sessions Court Friday.

Rogello Cassillas, 31 Ocean Blvd., was charged with public intoxication, officer John Bishop said.

Cassillias, 32, was at the scene of the North Rufe Taylor Road accident.

"The suspect was unsteady on is feet, heavily intoxicated, and had no one to call to pick him up," Bishop said.

"For the safety of the suspect as well as the safety of others, he was placed under arrest for public intoxication and transportation to the Greene County Detention Center."
