A traffic stop about 2 p.m. Tuesday on Tusculum Boulevard led to the arrest of two people, Greeneville police Officer Roy Milton said in a report.
Milton answered a call of intoxicated persons and stopped a pickup truck pulling out of the UPS Store at 1113 Tusculum Blvd.
The driver, 40-year-old Crystal Dawn Smith, was unsteady on her feet and showed signs of intoxication, the report said.
Smith was charged with driving under the influence, simple possession of a Schedule II controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
A passenger in the truck, 41-year-old Rodney Wayne Smith, also appeared intoxicated, the report said.
Smith was carrying a loaded .380 automatic pistol and was carrying six bullets in his pocket, the report said.
Also found were six Oxycodone pills in a bottle and a straw in his shirt pocket.
Rodney Smith was charged with intent to go armed, possession of a handgun while intoxicated, simple possession of a Schedule II controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Both defendants were scheduled to appear today in General Sessions Court.
