Sheriff's deputies said they have located the "persons of interest" they were looking for in the suspicious death of Donald Ray Gunter: Amanda Kate Harris and Mario Donte Keene.
Investigators said they were speaking to them Wednesday night and continuing their investigation.
Further information was not available Wednesday night.
Investigators are looking for two "persons of interest" — a man and a woman — in connection with a suspicious death here on Wednesday.
The investigation into the death of Donald Ray Gunter, 69, involves both the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation and the Criminal Investigation Division of the Sheriff's Department.
Gunter was found dead in his Old Mountain Road home just before noon on Tuesday.
A news release from the Sheriff's Department issued Wednesday afternoon stated that investigators are currently trying to locate two "persons of interest who may have pertinent information pertaining to this investigation."
The two individuals are Amanda Kate Harris, age 27, and Mario Donte Keene, alias "Rio," age 39.
Harris is described as a white female with brown hair and blue eyes, 5'3" in height and 120 pounds in weight.
Keene is described as an African-American male with black hair and brown eyes, , 5'2" in height and a weight of 210 pounds.
They are believed to be traveling in a gold-colored 1998 Cadillac Catera, with the license plate 894-RCW.
The public's assistance is needed in locating these individuals, the news release stated.
