Watch For Your Tax Notice In The Form Of A Letter

Property-owners in Greeneville and Greene County are seeing a different format in the tax notices being received this week.

The new format is in the form of a letter that shows how much property tax is owed for 2012, and is not a late notice.

The letter format replaces the postcard format of previous years.

All property-owners, with or without a mortgage, may receive a tax notice in the new letter format.

Property tax relief is still available for elderly or disabled homeowners. The forms for property tax relief will be mailed out by this Wednesday.

For more information, please call Greeneville Town Hall at 639-7105 or the Greene County Trustee's Office at 798-1705.
