A Missouri woman who made herself unwelcome at the Daisy Dukes Cafe near Interstate 81 Exit 30 ended up behind bars Monday after sparring with sheriff's deputies.
Kelly L. Christian, 42, of Kansas City, was allegedly approaching trucks in the parking lot and was asked to leave the property by restaurant employees, Deputy C. H. Jessie said in a report.
"An investigation found that the subject had been in and out of the restaurant and had attempted to get in and out of trucks parked in the lot," the report said.
Christian was located inside a tractor trailer, the report said.
"When asked about what was going on, subject became extremely uncooperative and refused to comply with verbal commands," the report said.
While attempting to take Christian into custody, she allegedly "became combative" and kicked the arresting deputy in the leg, the report said.
After being taken into custody, Christian allegedly "kicked the arresting officer in the area of his chest" as he attempted to place her in back of a patrol car, the report said.
She continued "kicking with her feet" after being put in the car, the report said.
Christian allegedly resisted being handcuffed "and refused to listen to verbal commands from (an) officer," the report said.
Christian was charged with assault on an officer, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct.
Bond was set at $3,000. She will appear Wednesday in General Sessions Court.
