The Greene County Heritage Trust will present Storyteller Jay O’ Callahan at its annual Christmas Kick-Off Dinner on Thursday, December 6, 2012 at the General Morgan Inn.
Jay has written and told his stories across the world. Jay’s reviews report that the hallmark of his talent is the passion he brings to big and small dramas of ordinary life. He slips inside the souls of his characters whether he is talking about a single person or people engaged in the great modern undertakings of the world: the emergence of the steel industry, NASA, Oak Ridge or the struggles of a small town to re-envision its life. Jay creates a magical world of hope, courage and dignity.
Greene County Heritage Trust partners in our community with all who work for the renewal of our area by bringing the values of our past into a meaningful future. We invite you to an evening of inspiration. The program begins with a 5:15 PM reception. Seating for dinner is by 6:30 PM. Tickets are $50 each and can be purchased at the Greene County Library, 210 N. Main St, by calling the General Morgan Inn (credit cards accepted). Members of the Trust also have tickets; you may call Jim Mays at 423-638-9409. We hope to see you there!
