Animals Send ‘Letters To Santa’

What do these cats and dogs want for Christmas? “They wrote letters to Santa, explaining it all,” said a spokeswoman for the Greeneville-Greene County Humane Society. Pictured clockwise from top left are Moonie, Tinker, Elle, Lucy and Midge. Photos special to The Greeneville Neighbor News.

From The Greeneville Neighbor News

By Janet Medcalf

Every year at Christmas time, millions of letters are written to Santa. This year, we thought we would share Santa letters written by our very own dogs and cats that are available for adoption at the Greeneville-Greene County Humane Society.

Dear Santa, I may not be perfect, but I have a heart full of love. I am hoping for my very own family to celebrate Christmas with. And Santa, they don’t have to be perfect either. Love, Elle

Dear Santa, Bah Hum Bug! It’s Christmas! I may look tough on the outside, but Santa, I’m really an old softie on the inside. I just want to be loved by someone. Can you please help me? Love, Jo Jo

Dear Santa, I’m an older girl, but the thought of a new toy still excites me. My very favorites are the squeaky ones. If you could find a big red squeaky toy in your shop, I will be the happiest girl in the world. Hugs & Kisses, Lucy

Dear Santa, My audition is to be Santa’s next helper! Santa’s elves ain’t got nothing on me! Seriously though, Santa, I would love to find a forever friend to go for walks with me. I will walk anywhere, in the woods, on a country road, even a city sidewalk. I’ll even wear my Christmas tinsel when we walk! We’ll be the talk of the town! I love you, Santa! Midge

Dear Santa, For Christmas I would like to have a stocking full of catnip. That way I’ll be cheerful all year long. Lots of love, Moonie

We hope everyone enjoyed these cute Santa letters, written by some of the dogs and cats awaiting adoption at the Humane Society.

A nice warm home with a loving family is the gift that ALL homeless dogs and cats want the most.
