GREENEVILLE, Tenn. -- “The Legacy of Floyd Cramer,” featuring his grandson Jason Coleman, will be performed at the Niswonger Performing Arts Center (NPAC) on Sunday, Nov. 11, at 3:30 p.m.
Cramer’s 27-year-old grandson will not only be playing some of his grandfather’s songs, but he
will help kick off the Festival of Trees at NPAC by playing some favorite Christmas
music.
Born and raised in Nashville, Coleman said, “I’m thankful to have the
opportunity to make a career out of doing something I love.
“God has blessed me with a gift – I have played the piano all my life, since I was able to reach the keys as a little kid (or so my parents tell me).
“What makes things interesting though, is the fact that I was fortunate
enough to be born with the genes of a piano legend; my grandfather, Floyd Cramer.”
Just
prior to the concert, there will be the Open House and official lighting of the Christmas trees for
the 2012 Festival of Trees at NPAC, from 1 until 3:30 p.m.
There is no admission, but guests
are invited to bring canned foods for the Food Bank. Cookies and punch will be
served.
Tickets for the Coleman concert are $22.50 for adults and $10 for students.
For more information or to purchase tickets, call the NPAC Box Office at 423-638-1679.
Open from 11:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on weekdays, NPAC is located adjacent to Greeneville High
School, at 212 Tusculum Blvd.
