GREENEVILLE, Tenn. -- Feral Friends of Greene County hosted a fundraising costume ball at the General Morgan Inn in Greeneville on Oct. 18, 2012.

The nonprofit organization is "dedicated to spaying and neutering as many cats and dogs as we can afford," according to the organization's website.

"We feel spay/neuter programs are the only solution to the pet overpopulation in our area."

The site continues, "We are [also] feeding several cat colonies in Greene County daily. We use the TNR (Trap-Neuter-Return) method to help control the overpopulation."
