Despite forecasts of rain, the annual Greeneville Christmas Parade was mostly dry on Sunday afternoon, with temperatures in the mid-40s.

Hundreds of people filled the downtown Greeneville area for the parade, which was a project of the Greene County Partnership, coordinated by the Greeneville Exchange Clubs and Partnership staff.

Santa Claus rode at the end of the parade on a Greeneville Fire Department truck, tossing candy to excited children and adults.

Miss Greene County Hannah Bobinger and Miss Greater Greeneville Sarah Stokely were the parade marshals.

The parade featured seven bands, one from each of the five local high schools and Greeneville Middle School, as well as the band from Tusculum College.
