It's BBQ Time

From The Greeneville Neighbor News

Hardin’s Chapel Ruritan Club will host their annual pit-cooked and hickory-smoked BBQ on Saturday, July 20.

The meal event will be held at Hardin’s Chapel Community Center, 3320 Baileyton Road, 11 a.m.–7 p.m.

“Cooked the old-fashion way, the fire is built two nights before the meal, the meat cooks in the coals for 24 hours and then is immediately hand-pulled for the quality everyone enjoys,” said a news release from club president Debbie Cogburn.

Tickets may be purchased in advance for $5, which will include a large BBQ sandwich, chips and a drink, she said.

Dine-in, take-out and drive-thru service will all be available, with delivery service offered to businesses that place ten or more orders.

Also, food items may be purchased individually, and BBQ meat will be available for $8 per pound.

The Ruritan Club works “to promote goodwill and fellowship to the community, and this is one of their one big fundraisers for the year to support projects locally,” Cogburn said.

To get tickets or place an order, call Cogburn at 423-639-1617.
