Only hours after The Greeneville Neighbor News hit the racks featuring the story of the Angelique, the cat was adopted from the Greene County Humane Society.

Angelique was featured in the entertainment newspaper on Feb. 14.

The following message was posted on the Humane Society’s Facebook page: “After three years of waiting, Angelique went to her furever home today!!

"Karen Winters saw Angelique's picture in the Greeneville Neighbor News today and showed her husband, Walter and they knew that she had to come home with them today!!

"We are so happy for all of them!! Today has been a wonderful day!! Yay for Angelique!! We love you pretty girl!!”
