MORRISTOWN, Tenn. – The new website
of Walters State Community College has been named “one of the best in the
nation.”
The site and two others received 2012 Best of The Web award from e.Republic’s Center for Digital Education. Other winners were City Colleges of Chicago an Pratt (Kan.) Community College.
Walters State launched ws.edu in March following two years of research and development.
“The college’s website is an integral tool in both the recruitment and retention of our students,” said President Wade McCamey.
A news release said, “In addition to a new design, more compelling content, improved organization and streamlined navigation, the site includes several enhanced areas, including a new section focusing on Student Services, a new search engine and stronger safeguards to protect users’ personal indentifable information.”
