The annual Howl-O-Ween attracted more than 40 entrants, hosted by the Greeneville-Greene County Humane Society on Saturday.

Held at the Animal Shelter on Hal Henard Road, the “critter party” also featured children’s activities, door prizes, raffles and refreshments.

Howl-O-Ween was “a big success,” said Tonya Ridley, Humane Society president.

The winners in the dog division were:
* First place: T.J. Greer and Cracker
* Second Place: Sheri and Summer Ray and Gizmo
* Third Place (five-way tie): Antonio Bobadilla and Bud, Keylan Newton and Gizmo, Kylee Ricker and Ruby, Angel Bobadilla and Honey, and Jennifer Simmons and Emmitt
* Honorable Mention: Hunter Motz and Celine

In the “other animal” division, the first place winner was Kyley Motz and her rabbit Merida.

The People’s Choice Award went to Cookie Lance and her pooch Puglet.
