Results from local high school volleyball action on Monday:
REBS FALL TO TROJANS
South Greene's Lady Rebels lost for the second time this year, both times to Morristown West, as the Trojans captured a 3-0 victory Monday at the Rebel gym.
West won by scores of 26-24, 25-21 and 25-22. South Greene is now 12-2 on the year.
Javan Wilhoit had 32 assists, Alora Ricker had 15 kills and eight digs, Maelyn Cutshaw had 15 kills and two aces, Jessica Galllihar contributed eight digs and Taylor Coakley had two blocks.
South Greene is scheduled to play at Greeneville this afternoon.
HUSKIES DEFEAT BOONE
The North Greene High volleyball team defeated visiting Daniel Boone on Monday afternoon.
The NGHS varsity won by scores of 25-15, 25-20 and 25-21.
Dariane Bailey had four kills and four blocks, Corinne Guelli had two kills, Laiken Morrow had seven kills and two blocks, Kesley Gaby had three service aces, and Lauren Baxter and Kaitlyn Weems each added three kills.
The North Greene junior varsity also won by scores of 25-23, 24-26, 15-12.
KNIGHTS GO 1-2
The Chuckey-Doak volleyball team won one match and lost two in recent prep action.
The Lady Knights dropped a 3-0 decision to David Crockett, 21-25, 10-25, 19-25. Taylor Campbell had four kills and Keri Ricker 14 assists, while Tori Hopson had eight service points with an ace and 15 digs.
The Knights defeated Cherokee 3-0. The scores were 25-16, 25-16 and 25-15. Andi Lamb had six kills, Ricker came up with 12 assists and nine service points with four aces, and Hopson had 13 digs.
Chuckey-Doak lost 3-0 to West Greene with scores of 17-25, 14-25 and 17-25. Taylor Campbell had five kills and three blocks and Ricker had 11 assists.
In JV action, the Knights dropped a 13-25, 25-21, 16-18 decision to Crockett and a 22-25, 28-26, 7-15 decision to West Greene.
Chuckey-Doak hosts Tri-Cities Christian Thursday.
