Greeneville High Cross Country made a strong showing at the Jesse Owens Classic in Oakville, Ala., Saturday.
The boys were second place out of 52 teams competing in the Silver Division. Wes Pectol was the individual champion. Zach Weaver finished seventh.
The girls were 17th out of 40 in the Silver Division. They were the highest finishing Tennessee A/AA team.
Addie Leonard from GMS finished seventh in the Large school Junior High Division.
"The teams did a great job on a cold, rainy, muddy day," said Coach Larry Blalock.
