Huskies Beat Providence

JOHNSON CITY -- North Greene had a solid night in a 69-38 road win over Providence Academy.

Dylan Payne led the Huskies with 29 points. Matthew Weems scored 12 points in a return from injury.

The Huskies led 40-21 at halftime.

North Greene won 49-43 in JV boys led by 13 from Zak Potter, 11 from Adam Kirk and 10 from Tanner Collins.

The Huskies are back in action Monday in a road game at Cedar View.

North Greene's girls did not play Friday night but play a solo game tonight at Greeneville at 7 p.m.

North Greene (69): Dylan Payne 29, Collins 2, Hayes 2, Bailey 5, Harbin 5, Schlotman 8, Britton 6, Matthew Weems 12.

Providence (38): Williams 4, Grable 15, Weaver 3, Gwynn 6, Hect 2, Steadman 1, Tyree 7.

3-point goals: NG - 3 (Payne 3). Prov - 1 (Grable).
