KNOXVILLE - For the second straight year, the Greeneville High School girls' soccer team saw its season come to an end at the Christian Academy of Knoxville in the Class A/AA State Sectional round.
The Lady Devils suffered a 1-0 loss to Region 2 champion CAK Saturday afternoon on a cold and dreary day in Knoxville.
The Lady Warriors, who are the defending state champions, have yet to lose a game this season. They are 20-0-3 overall.
Greeneville recorded just four shots on goal in the contest.
Elizabethton, who defeated the Lady Devils in the Region 1-A/AA championship game last week, defeated Gatlinburg-Pittman in sectional play over the weekend to advance to state.
The state championships will be held in Chattanooga October 31-November 3.
