For the first time this season, the West Greene girls are on a district winning streak.

The Lady Buffaloes put three players in double figures Friday night as they overcame a two-point first quarter and picked up a 46-38 win over visiting Claiborne.

Haley Vradenburgh paced West Greene will 12 points, while Kristen Johnson and Baylee Jarrell followed with 11 and 10, respectively.

Dakotah Turner and Sydney Honeycutt each scored 12 to lead Claiborne.

The first half was slow going for both teams. A field goal by Kristen Johnson was the only offense West Greene could muster in the opening eight minutes, yet they still only trailed 6-2 heading into the second.

Claiborne returned the favor in the second as they made just one field goal, and the Lady Buffaloes rallied to take a 12-11 lead at the break.

Vradenburgh came alive for eight points in the third quarter and Rachel Hensley added a pair of key baskets as West Greene maintained a 24-18 cushion heading into the final period.

Jarrell and Johnson each scored seven points in the fourth - combining for 11 free throws - as the Lady Buffaloes stayed in front the rest of the way.

Nick Roberts paced Claiborne with 17 points, followed by Paul Estep with 13. Tristan Noe also reached double digits with 10 points.

West Greene was led by the 15 points of Jordan Fillers. Tyler Earley added eight points, and Tanner Earley and Tanner Lambert seven each.
