We invite you to take an active part in your hometown newspaper. We welcome any news tips, comments or questions about news coverage.
We love to hear about feature ideas, new neighbors moving into town, former residents moving back, or any areas of coverage that you think
our readers need to know about.
Letters to the Editor
The Greeneville Sun Editorial Page provides a regular forum for community opinion in Letters to the Editor. Letters may be typed or clearly
handwritten or printed, and may be brought or mailed to the Sun (Letters to the Editor, The Greeneville Sun, 121 W. Summer Street, Greeneville, TN 37743),
or emailed to letterstotheeditor@greenevillesun.com. Letters should be signed (unless emailed), should be as concise as possible, and should emphasize
topics of public interest. To be published, letters must be accompanied by the name and street address (or post office box) of the writer or writers.
Telephone numbers will not be published but should be included with letters in case the Sun needs to contact the writer for clarification, etc.

The Greeneville Sun provides access to the latest Associated Press news releases.
Agriculture
Each Wednesday the Sun publishes its Agriculture section, which is prepared by section editor Tom Yancey. The section provides farmers of our
community with current and useful information from County Extension Leader Steve Hale and his staff as well as a variety of other sources.
Business
News of local and national business and industry is published every Thursday. This includes new local businesses and expansions, major personnel
changes, major awards, product developments, quarterly reports of publicly owned companies with local plants, and much more.
Events Calendar
The Events Calendar is published in The Greeneville Sun each Saturday. Persons may submit an upcoming event free of charge. The deadline is
Tuesdays at 5 p.m.
If you have an event to publish, you may submit it by email.

The Greeneville Sun's Living Section covers a wide range of community life - engagements, weddings, anniversaries, reunions, civic club projects,
new neighbors, and much more. Engagement announcements and other announcements for the Living pages should be received several days before the day
you would like to have them published.
We Observe Strict Deadlines For Wedding Photos!
For use of a wedding photo with a full story, the information MUST be received no later than a month after the wedding. The full story without a photo
or descriptive details will be published if information is received after the one-month deadline but within three months of the wedding. For wedding
information more than three months old, a summary of the wedding will be published.
Engagement and wedding announcements are published at no charge.

Obituaries
The Greeneville Sun usually receives obituary news directly from the funeral home that is in charge of arrangements. The Sun makes no charge for
publishing obituary news. For same-day publication, the deadline for obituary information is 8:00 a.m. Monday-Friday. For Saturday morning's issue,
the deadline for obituary information is normally 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
Religion The Religion section is published each Saturday and is coordinated by Columnist Bob Hurley. This section includes a variety of local and Associated Press stories about Greeneville and Greene County faith-related events, as well as religion trends in the nation and world. Religion section information should be submitted to Bob Hurley by 5 p.m. on Tuesday for publication in that week's Saturday edition, or mailed to Religion, The Greeneville Sun, 121 W. Summer Street, Greeneville, TN 37743. Note: If mailed, news should reach the Sun by the standard 5 p.m. Tuesday deadline.
