British Columbia Wins NAIA Golf Crown; Individual Title Goes To Victoria's Woodland

Oh, Canada!

The golf team from University of British Columbia, and an individual player from another Canadian school, University of Victoria, are the champions of the annual NAIA Women's Golf National Championships, which concluded Friday at Link Hills Country Club.

The Thunderbirds of B.C. started Friday's final round with a one-shot lead, and they padded that advantage by one more stroke, shooting a 303 team score Friday, to finish the marathon four-day tournament with a 1211 total, two strokes better than Savannah College of Art & Design (SCAD), who shot 304 in the finale.
