Katherine E. Eggebrecht

Katherine E. Eggebrecht, 71, of Kevin Lane, died Friday evening at Laughlin Memorial Hospital.

Mrs. Eggebrecht was a member of St. James Episcopal Church and former member of Youth Builders of Greeneville Inc. and Welcome Wagon, now known as the Welcome Club of Greeneville.

She was the widow of Robert F. Eggebrecht Sr., her husband of 49 years.

Survivors include her son: Robert F. Eggebrecht Jr. of Chicago, Ill.; two daughters and a son-in-law: Julie and Revis Blakeney, with whom she made her home, and Kathy E. Eggebrecht of Orange County, Calif.; a special granddaughter: Christina M. Shelton of Greeneville; her father: Henry V. Nelson of Sullivan, Ill.; a sister: Carole M. Nelson of Addison, Ill.; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her mother: Julia Nelson, and her biological father: Harry Schubbe.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 this evening at Doughty-Stevens Funeral Home.

The funeral service will be held at 2 o'clock Tuesday afternoon at St. James Episcopal Church with interment in Andrew Johnson National Cemetery. The Rev. Mary Margaret Blanchard will officiate.

The body will be taken to the church to lie in state 30 minutes prior to the service.

Pallbearers will be Hans Andersen, Jim Dye, Tom Parker, Mark Corey, Fred H. Serral, and Foy Harrison.
