Joseph Andrew Ziliox Jr.

NEWARK, Ohio - A graveside service for Joseph Andrew Ziliox Jr., 70, of Newark, was held at 10:30 Tuesday morning in Newark Memorial Gardens. The Rev. Paul Skaggs officiated.

Mr. Ziliox died Dec. 27, 2002, at Newark Healthcare Centre.

He is survived in Greeneville, Tenn., by a son and daughter-in-law, Jeffrey A. and Barbara Ziliox.

Mr. Ziliox was born Nov. 28,1932, in Flushing, N.Y., and was a son of the late Catherine M. (Conklin) and Joseph A. Ziliox Sr.

He was a retired clerk for the Department of Commerce in Arlington, Va.

Mr. Ziliox was a U.S. Army veteran, serving during the Korean War where he received a Purple Heart and a Bronze Star.

He was a member of the American Legion Post #85.

Additional survivors include his wife: Juanita G. (Morelock) Ziliox; two other sons and daughters-in-law: Joseph E. and Sandra Ziliox and John F. Totherow Sr., all of Maryland; two daughters and a son-in-law: Catherine 0. and Keith McAuley of Virginia and Cheryl A. Yoder of Newark; 11 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two brothers and sisters-in-law: Edward and Adelle Neubauer of California and Harold and Nancy Ziliox of Texas; a sister: Ruth Barnes of New York; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a brother: Allan Ziliox.

Henderson Van Atta & Johnston Funeral Service, 59 North Fifth Street, Newark, is in charge of arrangements.
