John T. Vaden

Died: March 29, 2008

CLARKSTON, Mich. -- John T. Vaden, 64, of Greeneville, Tenn., died Saturday.

Mr. Vaden had been director of quality management at Parkview Hospital in Maine.

He was a Pathfinder youth leader.

Mr. Vaden was a son of Virginia Webster and the late J.T. Grant.

"He was a loving husband," his family noted.

In addition to his mother, survivors include his wife of 34 years: Kathy Vaden; his children and their spouses: Kristen and Drew Lahti, Kathy and Mike Sias, John and Jasmine Vaden, Court Shea, Kevin Shea, and Luciano Vaden; eight grandchildren: Amanda Lahti, Chad Lahti, Alicia Sias, Adam Sias, Alec Sias, Joel Vaden, Jackie Vaden, and Lucas Vaden; his siblings and their spouses: June Stevenson, Carol and Ron Schmidt, Janene and Kurt Alexander, Henry and Bobbi Vaden, Susan and Don Meserraul, and Bonnie and Larry Fuller; and his special caregivers: the staff of Smoky M.

The family will receive friends from 6-9 p.m. Wednesday at Lewis E. Wint & Son Funeral Home, Clarkston.

The funeral service will be held at 1 o'clock Thursday afternoon at Waterford Riverside Seventh-day Adventist Church, 5725 Pontiac Lake Road, Waterford.

Interment will be in Ottawa Park Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to Waterford Riverside Seventh-day Adventist Pathfinders Club, 5725 Pontiac Lake Road, Waterford, MI 38327.
