Grady M. Hensley

JONESBOROUGH -- Grady M. Hensley, 76, of Greeneville, died Thursday at Greene Valley Developmental Center after an extended illness.

He had been a longtime resident of Juniper Cottage at Greene Valley.

Mr. Hensley was born in Washington County and was a son of the late W.R. and Ida Tilson Hensley of Washington College.

He was preceded in death by two brothers: Leonard Hensley and Vaughn Hensley; and a sister: Effie Levener.

Survivors include two sisters: Carrie Smith of Albuquerque, N.M., and Norma Muller of Brevard, N.C.; numerous friends; and his special caregivers: the staff of GVDC and especially the Juniper Cottage staff.

The family will receive friends from noon-1 p.m. Monday at Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home in Jonesborough.

The funeral service will be held at 1 o'clock in the funeral home chapel. Mike Young will officiate.

A graveside service will follow in Higgins Chapel Cemetery in Flag Pond.
