Robert Peterson

Robert Peterson, 69, of Pisgah Road in the Sunnyside community, died Saturday afternoon at his home.

After 40 years of service, he retired as a mechanic with Hess Oil Company Refinery, in Woodbridge, N.J.

He attended Mount Pisgah United Methodist Church.

He is survived by his wife: Margaret C. Buehrman Peterson; two daughters and sons-in-law: Elizabeth and Jack Smith and Christine and Jeffery Granata, all of Wall, N.J.; a granddaughter: Abigal Granata; a grandson: Matthew John Smith; two stepdaughters and a stepson-in-law: Kathleen and Robert Eric Smith of Toms River, N.J., and Deborah Ann Tice of Forked River, N.J.; his stepgrandsons: Brian Lee Tice and Jordan Robert Tice, both of Forked River; a stepsister and her husband: Irene and Edward Weston of Middletown, N.J.

It was Mr. Peterson's request that his body be cremated and that there be no formal visitation or funeral service.
