Marvin Babb

JOHNSON CITY -- Marvin Babb, 51, of King Springs Road, Johnson City, died Saturday at his home.
A native of Tennessee, he was a son of the late Alfred and Bessie Ann Tucker Babb.
Mr. Babb was plant manager for the All Weather plant in Alcoa.
He served in the U.S. Marine Corps.
Mr. Babb was a member of Prayer Tabernacle.
Survivors include his wife: Helen Babb; two sons: Michael Jason Babb and Travis Dwight Babb, both of Johnson City; a daughter: Ashley Elizabeth Green of Johnson City; a daughter-in-law: Julie Babb of Johnson City; a son-in-law: Scottie Green of Johnson City; nine grandchildren: Chad Jason Babb, Gavin James Babb, Sierra Elizabeth Babb, Marcus Marcolo, Alex Marcolo, Jacob Marcolo, Damion Dwight Babb, Makaela Elizabeth Green and Maliyah Desiree Green; three brothers and their wives: Dayton and JoElla Babb, Cecil and Nola Babb, Jim and Audrey Head, all of Johnson City; four sisters: Wanda Presnell, Verna Fulwiler, Lena Phipps and Gladys Weaver, all of Johnson City; and a special brother-in-law and sister-in-law: Steve and Teresa Case.
He was preceded in death by eight brothers: Freddie Babb, Otis Babb, Marshall Babb, Carson Babb, Junior Babb, Guy Babb, Arch Babb, and Dave Head.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Morris-Baker Funeral Home, 2001 E. Oakland Ave., Johnson City.
The funeral service will follow visitation at 8 o'clock in the South Chapel of the funeral home. The Rev. Johnny Hilton and Pastor Israel Ochoa will officiate.
A committal service will be held at 11 o'clock Wednesday morning in Washington County Memory Gardens.
The procession to the cemetery will leave at 10:30 from the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Jason Babb and Travis Babb.
Honorary pallbearers will be the deacons and church board of Prayer Tabernacle, and Mr. Babb's special caregivers: Dr. William Kincaid and the staff of McLeod Cancer and Blood Group.
