Mona Ellen Coakley

Mona Ellen Kirk Coakley, 88, of Elm Street, Mosheim, died Monday at her home.
Mrs. Coakley was a homemaker and the widow of Claude H. Coakley, her husband of 60 years who died April 30, 1996.
She was a member of Midway United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women of the church.
Survivors include two daughters and one son-in-law: Mary Elizabeth Coakley of the home and Anna Ruth and Bud Cansler of Midway; one son and daughter-in-law: Daniel Claude and Frankie Coakley of Kingsport; seven grandchildren an their spouses: Michael Claude and Lisa Cansler of Midway, Larry Cansler of Mosheim, Donna and Tony Barton of Kingsport, Debbie and Fred Lilly of Sulphur Springs, Chris D. and Karena Coakley of Blountville; 11 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; two sisters: Mary Bell Bible of Mosheim and Grace Hall of Tampa, Fla.; several nieces and nephews; and special friends and caregivers: Jeannie Gray and Mary Kidwell.
She was a daughter of the late Rev. Dewey and Mary Sauceman Kirk and was preceded in death by one sister, Louise Coakley.
The funeral service will be held at 6 o'clock Thursday evening at Kiser Funeral chapel. The Rev. Jerry Holt, the Rev. Dwayne Casteel, and the Rev. Charles DeHart will officiate.
The family will receive friends 4-6 p.m. and 7-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
A committal service will be held at 11 o'clock Friday morning in Mosheim Central Cemetery. Family and friends will meet at 10:45 at the cemetery.
Pallbearers Joshua Coakley, Jeremy Coakley, Jack Coakley, Chris Coakley, Larry Cansler, and Mike Cansler.
Honorary pallbearers will be the nurses and staff of Adventa Hospice Services, Dr. Phillip Thwing, Cory Lilley, Dylan Barton, Tim Livingston, Terry Casteel, Derrick Casteel, Kenneth Smith, Alfred Coakley, Bill Hawk, and the members of the Senior Adult Sunday School Class of Midway UM Church
