Roy Thomas Harmon

Roy Thomas Harmon, 90, died Tuesday at Laughlin Memorial Hospital.
He was of the Baptist tradition of faith.
Mr. Harmon was the widower of Dorothy Poe Harmon, his wife of 48 years who died Jan. 8, 2004. He was a son of the late William and Vina Melton Harmon.
He is survived by two daughters: Elizabeth Johnson and Betty Harmon, with whom he made his home, and one son: Hal Thomas Harmon, all of Greeneville; his grandchildren and their spouses: Jareco Johnson, Sgt. Marcus and Cassie Johnson, and Sgt. Matthew and Ashley Johnson, all of Mosheim; one special granddaughter: Jacklyn Harmon of Greeneville; two special great-grandsons: Dylan Thomas Johnson and Jeremiah Johnson; two brothers: L.V. Harmon of Piney Flats and Samuel Frank Harmon of Arizona; several nieces, nephews and cousins; one special friend: Thelma Beach of Bulls Gap; and a special friend of the family: Brandon Scott of Greeneville.
Mr. Harmon was preceded in death by four sisters and five brothers.
The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday at Mosheim Chapel of Doughty-Stevens Funeral Home.
The funeral service will be held at 2 o'clock Saturday afternoon in the Mosheim Chapel. The Rev. Richard Long will officiate.
Interment will follow in McMillan Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Sgt. Marcus Johnson, Sgt. Matthew Johnson, Jareco Johnson, Brandon Scott, John Earl Laster, and Tim Pitts.
