Died: Sept. 2, 2008

Janice M. Shelton, 61, of Dodd Branch Road, Greeneville, died Tuesday morning at St. Mary's Hospital in Knoxville.

She had been an employee at the former Hurd Lock Manufacturing.

Mrs. Shelton was a member of Cedar Creek Church of God.

Survivors include her husband: Bobby C. Shelton: two sisters and brothers-in-law; Dorothy and Charles Smith and Tammy and Joe Seaboat, all of Greene County: two brothers and sisters-in-law: Clyde and Anita Tweed of Greene County and Kenneth "Buddy" and Melinda Tweed of Washington County; her mother-in-law: Emma Dean Shelton of Greene County: her sisters-in-law and their husbands: Shelby and Ron Holt of Blountville, and Helen and Norman Myers and Lisa and Bill Wilds, all of Greene County: her brothers-in-law and a sister-in-law: Frank and Susie Shelton of Courtland, Ill., and Mark Shelton of Greene County; and a number of aunts, uncles, and cousins.

She was a daughter of the late Russell Tweed and Viola Phillips and was preceded in death by her stepfather, James Phillips, and a brother, Calvin Tweed.

The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Rose Hill Funeral Home.

The funeral service will follow visitation at 8 o'clock in the funeral home chapel. Pastor Brice Casey will officiate.

A committal service will be held at 10:30 Friday morning in GreeneLawn Memory Gardens. Family and friends will meet at 9:30 at the funeral home to go in procession to the cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Jeff Holt, Chris Myers, Steve Myers, Jason Wilds, Nathan Wilds, Josh Shelton, Anthony Shelton, Gilbert Tweed, Jeremy Smith, and Dean Tweed.
