Charlie Bible

Died: Oct. 20, 2008

Charles David "Charlie" Bible, 21, of Chuckey, died Monday evening due to injuries received in automobile accident. His special friend, Jamey Reppond, also died in the accident.

He was employed by Adams Painting Service.

Survivors include his wife: Rebekah Bible; one son: Colton Bible of the home; his parents: Emily and Roger Jennings of Greeneville and Bobby and Rachel Fillers of Afton; his grandparents: David and Jean Bible of Chuckey, Ray Fillers of Afton, and Mary Bowman of Greeneville; a special aunt and uncle: Gina "Beany" Ward and her husband, Russell Ward, of Chuckey, who was his friend and advisor through his life, the family said; his parents-in-law: Clarence and Shara Keplinger of Erwin and Janice and Ryan Jones; one sister: Hannah Jennings of Greeneville; three brothers: Roger Jennings of Greeneville, and Cody Fillers and David Fillers, both of Afton; other special aunts and uncles: Kathy and Ricky Dean of Midway, Sonya Gosnell of Memphis, Tammy and Truman Cutshaw of Greeneville, Johnny Ray and Crystal Fillers of Greeneville, Jakie and Crissy Gilland of Mosheim, and Carl and Miranda McGee of Greeneville; several great-aunts and great-uncles; two special cousins: Andrew Long of Texas and Amy Long of Greeneville; and his special friends: Jessie and J.J. Reppond of Chuckey.

He was a grandson of the late Donna May Fillers and Bertha and Jacob Gilland and a great-grandson and "special angel" of the late Rosie Metcalf.

The family will receive friends from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. and 6 - 9 p.m. Thursday at Doughty-Stevens Funeral Home.

The funeral service will be held at 2 o'clock Friday afternoon in the funeral home chapel. The Rev. Danny Ellis and the Rev. Charles Fillers will officiate.

Interment will follow in Mountain View Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Russell Ward, Van Metcalf, Carl McGee, Jakie Gilland, Jarrod Hensley, Ricky Dean, Chris Norton, and Roger Jennings Jr.
