Gailya Myers

Died: June 5, 2009

Gailya Myers, 90, of Virginia and McClennan, Texas, and formerly of Greene County, died Friday, June 5, in Harrisonburg, Va.

She was the founder of the Missionary Society for the Holiness Full Gospel Missions.

She was a missionary in three countries, building more than 150 churches. Survivors include cousins; and her caregivers: the Rev. Gary and Nancy Edenfield of Elkton, Va.

A graveside service will be held at 3 o'clock Friday afternoon in Cross Anchor Cemetery. The Rev. Gary Edenfield will officiate.

There will be no formal visitation.

Family and friends will meet at 2:45 at the cemetery.

Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
