Master Sgt. Bobby A. King, U.S. Air Force retired, 42, of Maryville, died Tuesday morning at his home.
Mr. King was a highly-decorated security forces airman. He retired after more than 21 years in active duty.
He was a veteran of the Gulf War, of Operation Enduring Freedom, and the Global War-On-Terrorism.
Mr. King was a member of Cedar Point Church of Maryville, the American Legion, and the Noncommissioned Officers Association.
"He was a loving and devoted husband and father," his family stated.
Survivors include his wife: Amanda King; a daughter: Darla Murphy King of Maryville; a son: Patrick Murphy King; his parents: Eldridge and Jean King of Greeneville; his grandmother: Sophie King of Greeneville; two half-sisters: Cheryl Richard and her husband, Henry, and Debbie Bell, all of Greeneville; a half-brother: Eddie King of Greeneville; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins; his mother-in-law: Alma Murphy of Maryville; and his father-in-law: Ed Murphy of Oregon.
The family will receive friends from noon-1 p.m. Saturday at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home.
The funeral service will follow visitation at 1 o'clock in the funeral home chapel. Pastor Kurt Stein and Gene Patton will officiate.
The Greeneville-Greene County Honor Guard will conduct a military service at the funeral home.
Interment will be in Arlington National Cemetery with full military honors.
