David Hines

Died: Nov. 12, 2009

David Hines, 53, of Greeneville, died Thursday afternoon.

"David had a real love for animals and enjoyed being outdoors. He also enjoyed working on automobiles. He lived at home with his mother, Ella Hines, and helped to take care of her during her failing health. He will be missed by all," his family stated.

He was preceded in death by his mother.

Survivors include one sister and brother-in-law: Anita and James Gibson of Greeneville; two brothers and sisters-in-law: Paul and Pam Hines and Rick and Kim Hines, all of Jonesborough; his nieces and nephews: Leah Gibson and Joshua Gibson, both of Greeneville, and Robbie Hines, Andrew Hines, Lauren Prowant, Tara Robinson, and Kyle Robinson, all of Jonesborough; two great-nieces: Sophia Nolani Uhls of Greeneville and Chloe Prowant of Jonesborough; and "loving and dedicated" caregivers: the staff of Takoma Regional Hospital and Life Care Center of Greeneville.

The body will be cremated. The family will hold a private ceremony.
