Tex Rader, 68, died Tuesday at Jackson Madison Hospital in Jackson.

Prior to his death, his special sister, Georgia Hall of Dandridge, and a special friend, Jane Seay, by his side.

Mr. Rader had been a patient at Milan Health Care in Milan.

A native of Parrottsville, he was a son of the late Clyde and Edith Rader.

He was of the Methodist tradition of faith.

Survivors, in addition to those listed above, include his special brother and sister-in-law: Tony and Mildred Rader of Newport; a brother and sister-in-law: Ricky and Sarah Rader of Oak Ridge; his sisters and brothers-in-law: Ken Hall of Dandridge; Judy and Danny West and Sandra and Billy Sauceman, all of Newport, and Debbie and Kenny Sane and Rosemary Bryant, all of Parrottsville; several nieces and nephews, including a special nephew: Rusty Nease; a special aunt: Audrey Rader of Greeneville; several cousins, including two special cousins: Gary Rader and Shirley Ricker, both of Greeneville; and his special friends: Mary Miller, Earl Sturgill, and Doris Sturgill.

The family will receive friends from noon to 2 p.m. Friday at Costner-Maloy Funeral Home in Newport.

The funeral service will follow visitation at 2 o'clock in the funeral home chapel. The Rev. Mike Hensley and the Rev. Tom Shelton will officiate.

Interment will be in Harned's Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Norman Ricker, Jim Williams, Danny West, Rusty Nease, David Fox, and Gary Rader.

Memorial contributions may be made to God's Willing Vessels Food Pantry, c/o Swannsylvania Baptist Church, 921 Swannsylvania Road, Dandridge, TN 37725.
