Marlyn Lee Ragsdale

Marlyn Lee Ragsdale, 78, of
Afton, died Thursday evening at his home.
Mr. Ragsdale was born in
Greene County and was a son of the late Lee and Sylvia Ragsdale.
He
retired from General Motors in Marion, Ind.
Mr. Ragsdale was a U. S.
Army veteran, serving with the 82nd Airborne division.
He was a very
avid Boston Red Sox fan. He frequently traveled back to Indiana to play golf with his former UAW
co-workers and friends.
Survivors include his wife of 51 years:
Carolyn Hall Ragsdale; two sons and a daughter-in-law: Keith and Shelley Ragsdale of Wisconsin and
Kurt Ragsdale of Afton; a daughter: Cindy Ragsdale of Florida; three grandchildren: Kyle Ragsdale,
Tim Ragsdale, and Heather Horsley; great-grandsons: Syrus Ragsdale and Logan Ragsdale; a brother:
James Ragsdale; a sister and brother-in-law: Shirley and Gary Haynes; an aunt: Helen Gaddis; two
cousins: Bobby Ragsdale and John Ragsdale; special niece: Tess Miller; numerous other nieces and
nephews; brothers-in-law and a sister-in-law: Eddie Hall and Steve and Vickie Hall; sisters-in-law: Betty and James Cutshaw,
Barbara Combs, June Burleson, Brenda and Eddie Bolinger, and Brenda Hankins Hall.
He was preceded in death by a sister: Martha Sphar; mother-in-law: Dorothy
Hall; and three brothers-in-law: Roger Hall, Danny Hall, and Jimmy Hall.
The family will receive friends from 4-7 p.m. today Jeffers Funeral &
Cremation Service, Afton.
The funeral service will follow visitation
at 7 p.m. in the Afton Chapel. The Rev. Paul Garrett and the Rev. Donnie Gaddis will officiate.
A committal service will be held at 10 a.m. Sunday in Cross Anchor
Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
